This course will cover eating disorders, including Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID) and anorexia/bulimia nervosa. We will explore effective treatment approaches, interdisciplinary collaboration, and assessments that enhance care for individuals and their families. A case study will illustrate occupation-centered interventions, emphasizing family involvement and offering practical strategies to empower clinicians and families in supporting long-term recovery and well-being.

Meet The Speaker

Angela Pogossian

OTD, OTR/L, CFNIP
Dr. Pogossian, a three-time USC graduate, earned her degrees from the Keck School of Medicine and the Chan Division at USC. During her residency in Lifestyle Redesign®, she focused on barriers to self-care, nutrition, and exercise that impact mental well-being. Inspired by her research and clinical success, she opened Skills to Wellness in Glendale to serve her community.
Angela works with children, adolescents, and adults dealing with ARFID, eating disorders, weight management, depression/anxiety, and chronic conditions, both in-office and via telehealth. Between patients, she also teaches pilates classes at a local studio in Glendale where she fosters a supportive environment focused on personal growth and strength. In her spare time, she shares her love for cooking and baking through recipes and content (also available on her website!).
